Notes From the Designer:
This pattern was inspired by my urban friend who likes bold, expressive, and at the same time, simple, minimalist accessories. Angular shapes, horizontal lines that intersect vertical lines… These are all beautiful aspects of 20th century Minimalist art and suitable for both men and women, depending on the color variation you choose.
- The sample shown used nearly all 500 yards (457 m) total of the two skeins.
- The scarf can be adjusted by casting on in multiples of 3+1.
- The stripes can be worked in any combination or length you desire. It is helpful to weigh your skeins of yarn before you begin, so you can more accurately tell when you need to change colors.
- For the color changes, you can either cut your yarn and weave in the tails, or you can carry the strands up the side. The choice is up to you. Watch a tutorial for carrying your yarn along the edge here.
- Be sure to check your yarn for colorfastness. If you experience bleeding with your sample, it is strongly advised that you spray or steam block your scarf instead of soaking it.
