Urban Cables Scarf
Skills needed:
Knit and Purl Sts
Increases and decreases
Cables
Three needles knitting
Size: Adult (Length: 36”, Wide: 5.5”)
Gauge: 20 sts x 25 rows = 4” x 4” in Stocking sts
Needles I used: Three US#7 (4.5 mm) Double Pointed Needles, Cable needle, Yarn needle
Yarn needed: Category 4 medium worsted weight yarn approx. 210 yds
Yarn I used in pictures: 65% Acrylic, 35% Wool Lion Brand Martha Stewart Crafts Extra Soft Wool Blend Color #5400-550 Gray Pearl
Stitches I used:
K = Knit
P = Purl
YO = Yarn Over
K1tbl = Knit one stitch through the back loop
P1tbl = Purl one stitch through the back loop
Kfb = Knit front and back
K2tog = Knit two stitches together
SKPO = Slip1, Knit 1, pass slipped stitch over
C8F = Put 4 sts on your cable needle and hold in front of your work, knit next 4 sts and then knit 4 sts from your cable needle
C8B = Put 4 sts on your cable needle and hold in back of your work, knit next 4 sts and then knit 4 sts from your cable needle
