I love this particular stitch pattern. In one book I use, it is called “Homes”. I think that there are a lot of people who live in urban areas and take comfort in the form and order of neighbourhoods, towns and cities.

Both the scarf and the stole are started at the bottom cast-on edge and knit in two pieces to the centre, where the two psections are graphed together. I include instructions to make the grafting easier.
