Urchin Rug
A Treat For Your Feet!
Urchins living in the ocean may be prickly, but in rug form they’re squishy and soft! The Urchin Rug is perfect for any room in the house and makes for a wonderful outdoor mini picnic blanket too! Rich with texture, but simple enough to knit while chatting or enjoying a show, the Urchin Rug is fun to knit, use and makes a great gift!

NOTES
Use the magic loop method of knitting for this rug OR use a combination of double pointed needles and circulars if you prefer.
Instructions include two options for your Urchin Rug, closed center and open center. The rug is knit from the center out and grows quickly.
A NOTE ABOUT THE YARN CALLED FOR: You will notice the different needle sizes used for the same yarn; this is due to the variations of this up-cycled yarn which varies a bit from skein to skein, even in the same colorgroup. The label calls for needles between US 15 - US 19. I selected needles that suited the yarn I used for the samples, but you may find (if you use the Hoooked Zpagetti) a different needle size will work better for you.
