Urki, a name of Basque origin, holds a deep connection to nature. It means “birch tree”, evoking the resilience and beauty of this beloved woodland wonder. It is generally used as a boy’s name.

Urki is a warm-weather tee that is fresh, versatile, and with a great fit. It comes in a wide range of sizes, from 32 to 64 inches (81 to 162 cm) of bust circumference. It has a simple construction, a delicate lace yoke, and a style easily modified to wear just as you like it.

The Urki tee is knitted seamlessly top-down starting at the neckband. It is worked in the round, except for a few short rows after the neckband. Carefully placed short rows and yoke increases ensure a comfortable fit. The lace pattern is easy to memorize and intuitive, shaped as birch trees around the yoke. The pattern contains a chart and written instructions for lace. The sleeves and body are separated at underarm and knitted separately in the round.

Techniques: German short rows, circular knitting, simple lace (increase and decreases), place stitches on hold, pick up and knit stitches.
