My first hat design, Ursula is a cabled beret. This is a charted pattern, which I began design on the Woolly Wormhead Hat Design workshop. It hasn’t been tech edited, but is in the process of being test knitted. The design lends itself to a yarn with silk in to give it some drape. The pattern uses slightly less than one skein of Aran weight yarn.
Currently the only size available is 20” but I am hoping to grade the other pattern to fit other sizes. This size will fit a head circumference of 21-22” with some negative ease.
Gauge is 19st 26r over 10cm of the cable pattern, and after blocking. Hat needs to be blocked, using a dinner plate, once it is completed to achieve the correct shape.
