This gorgeous lace scarf takes only one skein of Be Sweet’s Bamboo Rain. The color change happens in the yarn giving the scarf an interesting ombre effect.

’Usonian’ is a term referring to a group of middle-income family homes designed by Frank Lloyd Wright beginning in 1936. They were typically small, single-story dwellings made of environmentally conscious materials, mimicked here in the lace pattern.

This was originally done in Be Sweet’s Bamboo Rain, which has been discontinued. Suggested yarns, Be Sweet Bamboo and Vinni’s Colours Serina (solid or variegated), are 100% bamboo yarn, perfect for those interested in knitting with renewable materials.
