This is the child’s version of the sweater Vaebner.

Vaebner is the Danish word for the knight’s squire.

The sweater/pullover is worked from the bottom edge and up with multi-colored pattern stripes on the body and sleeves. The sweater has a traditional drop shoulder/set in sleeve construction. The Sweater has a folded sleeve rib with a thumb hole.

The pattern is made for at yarn with a gauge of 18 stitches per 10 centimeters (stockinette stitch) i.e. a yardage of approximate 90 meters per 50 grams.

This pattern includes directions for a size 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 years with a chest width of 73, 78, 84, 91, 98 and 107 centimeters and a length of 43, 46, 51, 54, 57 and 61 centimeters.

This pattern is written for a knitter with medium skills, a knitter who is familiar with stranded knitting, a knitter who is able to follow written instructions, charts and work increases and decreases.

Materials: yarn, knitting needles and stitch markers.
