Vaelifiquois - The Color Game
I am a self-proclaimed color addict and I love to play with shapes inside a knitted fabric and Vaelifiquois, a top-down triangular shawl, is the 3rd pattern in the Garter Fish series. This shawl is mostly straight forward garter stitch but has a few short-row sections for an unexpected dramatic effect! These small short row sections are also a great way to use up left-over yarn from past projects. Yard count is included for each section!
Yarn: This pattern uses about 1000 yards of fingering weight yarn in 2, 3, or more colors. See the coloring sheet for some coloring graphics to help you play with color choices! Yarn amounts for each section will publish with respective clue. This patterns adapts well to your preferred yarn/ needle gauge.
Vaelifiquois is a large shawl similar in size and overall shape to Felix whereas Vaelette is a long skinny triangle designed for 5 lace or fingering weight colors held double! The MKAL commences Sat 11 Jan and hosts both patterns!
