One of my favorite books is The Blue Castle by Lucy Maud Montgomery. It’s a romantic story of Valancy Stirling, a girl who has never been loved (or in love). She has always been terrorised by her family and relatives. But she has her own place, her imaginary Blue Castle where everything is beautiful and romantic… This shawl got its inspiration from Valancy’s story.
