Valdine tröja is knitted with two strands of yarn, one of each type. It’s worked from the top down, with increases on both the front and back from the shoulders. To shape the neckline, short rows are used, specifically German short rows. Once the front and back pieces have the correct stitch count, the back stitches are set aside while you knit back and forth over the front stitches. Then, the front piece is set aside while you knit the back piece. Once both parts have reached the desired length, the work is joined under the arms and the sweater is knitted in the round to shape the body, which ends with ribbing.
For the sleeves, stitches are picked up and worked in the round on circular needles. German short rows are again used to improve the fit. The sleeves are designed to be balloon-shaped and finished with ribbing.
