This cozy warm fair isle hat features stripes and “hearts”. It is a simple design worked on large needles to knit up quickly. Use reds and pinks for a Valentine’s day feel or more neutral colors for any time of year.

Materials needed for this project:
• Size US 11 ( 8.0mm) and Size US13 (9.0 mm ) 16” circular needles (use a needle size that gives you the gauge listed below—every knitter’s gauge is unique!)

• 2 contrasting colors of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick
(I used cranberry and fisherman)

• Tapestry needle to weave in ends

• Scissors

Gauge : 10 stitch = 4” stockinette stitch on larger needles

Size: Adult Small (Adult Medium-Large)
