This valentine hat pattern is super thick and warm, as it alternates size 5 yarn with size 4 double stranded. It is perfect for a really cold winter day! Good thing Valentine’s Day is still chilly in many parts of the world. This combo of pink and cozy will make the perfect match!

An occasional bead stitch added throughout the pattern creates just the right amount of texture. It is a fun new stitch to try too (if you haven’t already)! Instructions for the stitch are included in the pattern.

Materials:

~ Size 4 yarn, 155 yards (I used Caron Simply Soft Speckle in Lipstick, not including pom)
~ Size 5 yarn, 45 yards (I used Red Heart Hygge in Powder)
~ US J / 6.0 mm crochet hook
~ Yarn Needle
~ Scissors

Final Measurements:

Band: 19 ½”
Height: 8”

Sizing:

This pattern makes a size adult small/ teen at this gauge. Notes on adjusting to a different size can be found in the pattern, after row 2 of the band.
