“This pattern makes a nice stashbuster project, as you will need just 50g of red 4ply yarn, and 20g of pink,” explains Caroline Rose. “I used a superwash Merino 4ply, hand-dyed using the methods we teach in the Dyeing Made Easy home dyeing course. Hand-dyed yarn gives you some lovely subtle tones, even within a ‘solid’ colour block.” We have suggested a superwash wool-nylon yarn from Cascade which is smooth, soft and machine-washable.
