This is a knitted cowl using dk weight yarn - I used Hayfield Bonus DK, 300 yards. It’s worked in the round using only knit and purl stitches and measures 30” x 13.5”. The size may be adjusted by adding or subtracting in multiples of 27. Only one skein of the Hayfield Bonus DK was needed (and there was a little left over). The gauge of 20 stitches across x 25 rows worked in stockinette is 4” and the hearts measure 3.5” x 3”. The stitch count remains the same throughout the project. You will also need 5 stitch markers and a tapestry needle to weave in your ends. The pattern is written with little symbols at the start of each row that you can check off as you work the pattern to help you keep track of your progress.
