Sister to Tulsi in Chickadee, Valerian uses similar motifs in different configurations: Valerian’s knit-purl diamonds in the body are larger, and the smocking border motif is a bit more compressed. The result is a more graphic, chiseled fabric in our sturdy little Finch.
