Valerie's Baby Blanket
This was originally created as a baby blanket and could easily be expanded to a throw or bed blanket. The way the pattern and worksheet are laid out its easy for you to add additional pattern sets.
I used stitch markers between each pattern set. I specifically designed this so that each “pattern” could be contained between markers. This way, if you make a mistake, you’ll know by the time you reach the next marker and you’re only backing up a few stitches to correct it.
This project (as a baby blanket) used 3 skeins with a finished size of appx 32” x 42”. If you want to go longer, I’d also recommend going wider. For larger throw/blanket, I’d recommend using double yarn.
I really like the Caron Simply Soft yarns - especially when making anything for an infant. The yarn really is that soft and it’s machine washable.
