Valmue is a versatile sweater that is worked in 4 colours. It features details such as double edges in twisted ribbing and wide sleeves that gather just before the wrist. The sweater is worked top-down with raglan increases. The first part of the yoke is worked back and forth to shape the neckline, then the work is joined in the round. The sweater has a short body, but both sleeves and body can be made longer according to your own preference.

Sizes and measurements
Sizes: 1 (2) 3 (4)
Chest circumference: 92 (100) 108 (115) cm / 36 (39) 42.5 (45)”
Length of yoke: 20,5 (23,5) 26,5 (29,5) cm / 8 (9.25) 10.5 (11.5)”
Total length: 47 (50) 53 (56) cm / 18.5 (19.7) 20.9 (22)”

You should choose your size based on the sweater’s chest circumference. Length of the body and sleeves can be adjusted according to your own preference. Recommended positive ease of 10-20 cm / 4-8”. The model has an ease of 15 cm / 6”.

Gauge
26 sts and 34 rows in stranded pattern (stockinette st) = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” after washing and blocking.
Make a swatch before starting to make sure you have the correct gauge. Deviations will lead to incorrect measurements of the sweater and therefore not the size you expect.

Make one right: Work an increase by lifting the strand between the stitches onto the left needle from behind and knitting it.
Make one left: Work an increase by lifting the strand between the stitches onto the left needle from the front and knitting through the back loop.
Picking up stitches.
K2tog: Decrease 1 stitch by knitting 2 stitches together.
