Lace socks that lace up! This sock features a lace panel and a slightly unusual construction as it is knit flat till the heel flap, then joined, then continued as a standard, top-down sock.

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced due to the construction and the lace panel.

Yarn: I strongly recommend a solid or nearly solid color. Variegation will not benefit you in this sock, and tonal yarns with a stronger variation between the pales and the darks are also going to distract from the pattern.

Yardage/Meterage:
I included three sizes, with two leg options-- just to complicate the yarn requirements.
For the mid-calf version of the sock, I recommend 320-360 yds of yarn.
For the knee-high version of the sock, I recommend going with 500-600 yds of yarn.

Additional notions: You’ll also need some ribbon to complete this sock. For the mid-calf version, 2 yards or 2 meters will do (one yard/meter per sock). For the knee-high, you’ll need a bit more, I estimate 4 yards/meters (two per sock).
