Vanda
Hat is worked in the round from bottom-up with a fun twisted stitch pattern. This pattern includes instructions for both a beanie and a beret version. The patterning is provided in chart form as well as written instructions. Pattern is written for Beanie, with Beret instructions in parenthesis.
SIZE
Brim Circumference: 18¾”
Fits heads up to 22” circumference.
GAUGE
17 stitches and 26 rounds = 4” over p3, k1tbl Ribbing, worked on larger needles
Note: It’s important to work gauge swatch in the round and block for proper sizing and fit.
MATERIALS
Manos del Uruguay MAXIMA (100% extrafine merino wool; approx. 100g/219yds), 1 sk
Beanie shown in M2060 Highlighter and Beret in M2305 Celadon.
US 7/4.5mm ndls for beret only, 16” circular, or 1 size smaller than gauge needle
US 8/5mm ndls, 16” circular and set of double-pointed, or size to obtain gauge
stitch markers
