The Vandriar mittens can be knit in two-colour stranded knitting OR two-colour smart brioche depending on what look you like the best. You can also choose to do a buttoned cuff instead of a regular one.

The small adult is approximately 8cm wide, the large adult approximately 10cm wide.

In the pattern you will find a wide variety of suggested yarns to use.
For the two-colour stranded knitting you will need 50g each of two contrasting colours of Røros Lambs wool 250m/50g.

For the two-colour smart brioche you will need contrasting colours of Venull finslig OR Hillesvåg Vilje 375m/100g OR Hillesvåg Sølje 350m/100g OR Rauma Finull, 175m/50g AND Rauma 1-ply weaving yarn 600m/100g OR Telespinn Fivrel, 300m/50g.

Suggested needle size is 80 cm circular needles size 2,5mm (or DPNs if you’re not a fan of magic loop). For broaching you might need to go down a needle size to achieve gauge.

For stranded knitting and smart brioche you should have a gauge of 36sts/40rows. For stockinette you should have 26sts/36rows holding both strands together.
