Vanguard
Vanguard is a top-down, seamless cardigan with round neck, long sleeves and a beautiful allover pattern that is a combination of cables, eyelets, twisted stitches and textures.
Upper back part is worked first from shoulders to the underarms, then the stitches of the fronts are picked up from the cast on edges of the back shoulders and fronts are worked to the underarms.
Then the pieces are joined and worked in one piece to the hem.
The stitches of the sleeve caps are picked up around the armholes then they are shaped with short rows.
Sleeves are worked in the round from the underarm to the cuff.
Finally the neckband and front bands are worked in rib pattern back and forth in rows.
The shapings are charted for all sizes. The charts are uploaded in individual files, separately from the written part of the pattern, you can print out the chart file for your size only.
