If you purchase 5 or more of my single patterns at the same time, you will automatically receive a 25% discount. Be sure to place all the patterns in your cart before checking out.
Vanilla is the new black! Now available for sport- and DK-weight yarns, or for smaller feet.
If you have previously purchased Vanilla is the New Black (fingering-weight), you will be able to purchase this pattern for a discount. Simply add the pattern to your cart, and you will get both patterns for only 8$.
Featuring a Strong-style heel, this sock is worked from the top down without the need to pick up stitches. This means the finished sock is reversible. Yes, both sides are pretty enough to be shown!
This sock looks great in solid, variegated and self-striping yarns.
Sizes included: 40, 44, 48, 52, 56 stitches
The pattern includes a sizing chart that helps you choose the appropriate stitch count for your gauge and foot circumference.
Note about foot length: due to the stretchiness of the heel ribbing, you may wish to knit the sock 1/4-inch (0.6cm) shorter than usual.
Special note for self-striping yarn, to keep the stripes intact: when you get to the heel turn, work it using the other end of the yarn!
Simply use the other end of the yarn for row 1 of the heel turn through the last repeat of row 6. For rows 7 and 8, switch back to the original strand of yarn, as you are starting to work in the round again. You will have two more ends to weave in, but your striping pattern will continue unbroken.
Note: Due to the nature of PDF downloads, I cannot offer refunds for purchases. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns before you buy this pattern. Thank you!
