These socks are designed as a homage to my mormor, my maternal grandmother. Together with my mother, she taught me to knit when I was 5 years old. She has, through my childhood made me countless sweaters, however when she grew older this reversed and I started knitting for her.
One tradition lasted though, every Christmas she knitted a pair of socks for each of her grandchildren, tucked some money in the toe and placed them under the tree. We all loved out knitted socks. My plan is to become that kind of grandmother.
I hope you will find comfort whilst knitting these socks.
