Hydrangeas are some of the most beautiful flowers that b. They are so many varieties you can choose from. It’s the same with crochet hydrangeas. First, they are super easy to create… the perfect pattern for beginners. But most importantly, this pattern allows you to put a little bit of yourself into the final results. You can choose your favorite hydrangea or color and replicate it to your liking. It’s so easy, you can make it while watching your favorite show.

18 and 24 gauge wires

Hydrangea Fun Facts
Hydrangea is of Greek descent: “Hydor” means water and “angos” means jar or vessel. Explaining why hydrangeas need lots of water to survive.
Hydrangeas have different meanings according to color: Pink represents love and sincerity, Blue represents forgiveness, White represents boasting or bragging, and Purple represents abundance and understanding.
Hydrangea leaves are poisonous as the leaves release cyanide. However, the Hydrangea species “Serrata” have been used by Buddhists as a sweet tea as part of a cleansing ritual. The tea is said to help treat autoimmune disorders as well as malaria, kidney stones, and enlarged prostate.
Did you know that January 5th is Hydrangea Day?
Here’s a little fun tale: According to Japanese legend, a Japanese emperor once gifted a woman he loved with hydrangeas because he was neglecting her in favor of business affairs. Because of this story, hydrangeas are said to represent heartfelt emotions, gratitude, and understanding.
With regular changing of the water, cut Hydrangeas can last up to 10 days!
Hydrangeas do not have petals! The beautiful part of the flower that we see as petals are actually sepals or modified leaves to protect the florets.
