These two shawls are a variation on a theme.
They both include a pretty eyelet section and garter ridges. However, Theme 1 includes many knit sts, and is the perfect knit when you watch telly. Theme 2, on the other side, includes rather a lot of purl sts, the stockinette gives the shawl a sophisticated look – but, if you do not like to purl you are hereby warned!

Each shawl can be made from one 100 gr skein of fingering!

Finished Measurements
Length : 197 cm Depth: 45 cm

Materials & Tools:
• 100 gr/350 meters Fjord Fibers Trollfjord Socks
• 4 mm/ US 6 circular needle (or size to give you correct gauge), length 80 cm
• Tapestry needle

Gauge:
14 sts/22 rows = 10 cm (4 inches) in pattern after blocking

Skills needed:
Casting on, knit and purl, yarn overs, knit two together, binding off.

Pattern notes:
The shawls can easily be made larger by adding more repeats. If you use thinner yarn with a higher yardage you may consider going down a needle size, otherwise your sts may become very loose. This can alter the finished size.

I love seeing what’s on your needles! Be sure to tag @tcknits and use the hashtags #tcstrikk and #variarionsonashawl when posting online.
