Varignon Scarf
This mesmerizing scarf uses simple but clever geometry to get to the point. Combine five contrasting colors of soft, squishy yarn with simple intarsia for a bold graphic look. Garter stitch worked on the bias makes for an ultra-plush scarf that’s a delight to knit.

Yarn Fibra Natura Dona (100% extrafine Merino superwash; 126 yd (115 m)/ 1 3/4 oz (50 g)): #134 Glacier (pale blue; A), #132 Alabaster (white; B), #130 Steely (dark gray; C), and #103 Amber (gold; D), 3 balls each; #124 Darkest Ink (black; E), 1 ball. Yarn distributed by Universal Yarn.
Yarn Weight 3
Needles Size 6 (4 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; blocking wires; tapestry needle.
Gauge 18 sts and 36 rows = 4” in garter st.

NOTES
- This scarf is worked from short end to short end. The chevrons are worked using the intarsia method. Join a new strand of yarn for each block of color and twist yarns at each color change to avoid holes.
- Slip stitches purlwise with yarn in front unless indicated otherwise.
