This dress is knit from top down and the shoulders are shaped with Contiguous-method by Susie M. It fits like a glove on shoulders and upper torso but is looser on hips and below. The garment has more room on the front than back. Sizing is based on the shoulder width and busty women typically need to choose one size smaller than they normally do. Knitters may self design the colours of their dresses. In the pattern you’ll find schematics where you can colour your own Väritys (Finnish for Colouring). The bright broad-striped dress has been knit one skein at the time, hence the height of each stripe varies by the width of the garment. The striping on the black dress has been designed for narrowing the waist line with dark background colour.

Both the hem and sleeve length are up to the knitter to decide. It’s best to try it on and fit the best dress length for you. The pattern has instructions for both short and long sleeves, however anything between them is possible as well!
