Vårvinter Sweater Dress
The Swedish word Vårvinter directly translates to “SpringWinter”, which is a season we have in northern Sweden. The spring is on it’s way and the air and sun is a bit warmer, but it’s still snow on the ground. Vårvinter is a beautiful season to be outside which is also my inspiraiton for the dress.
Vårvinter sweater dress is a long sweater with double folded collar, knitted from the top down with short rows in the neck and increases in raglan. Details on sleeves, collar and sides in broken rib. The sweater dress is split in the bottom, where the back is longer than the front. You can easily make it into a normal length sweater just by shortening the length. The arms are oversized with a tighter wrist made by going down in needle size.
In the same series there is also a beanie called Vårvinter, you can download it for free on Ravelry, perfect for left overs.
The dress comes in five sizes, and you should choose a size with 10-25 cm positive ease (depending on how oversized you want it). Finished bust measurements are 100, (110), 120, (130), 140 cm.
The yarn amount can differ quite a bit depending on which yarn you use, but with Nutiden yarn held double the largest size would use about 700 grams (at most). If you switch to Plötulopi you may need a bit more than suggested grams.
