• Esta prenda está inspirada en el bronce que estuvo en el panteon de agripa y se fundió para hacer el baldaquino de San Pedro del Vaticano, es una inspiración llevaba por una serie de circunstancias que explico en detalle en mi canal de YouTube y te dejo el enlace directo aquí:

• Construcción: La prenda se teje de arriba abajo con un montaje de puntos provisional que se retoman posteriormente tejiendo primero unas vueltas cortas y terminando con un elástico y un cierre tubular. El canesú se forma con una serie de aumentos decorativos hasta llegar a la separación de las mangas. El cuerpo y las mangas en circular terminan la labor de forma fácil y cómoda jugando con el tejido mediante derechos y revés.

• Tallas: Elige la talla según tu contorno de pecho, el patrón está escrito con una holgura de 8cm. Por ejemplo, para un contorno de 85cm, el sweater queda con un contorno de 93cm después de separar mangas. Sabiendo esto, si tu contorno no está entre las tallas, elige la más apropiada para ti mirando en la siguiente tabla el contorno de la prenda, también en el patrón se darán indicaciones para poder modificar la dimensión del contorno. - Inspiration: This project arose after studying the Italian capital for the design of my Rome Shawl (Chal Roma). As you read a lot about a city with so much history, it’s impossible not to get inspired for another project, and that is what happened.
A common practice in Rome was to use the materials from one piece of work to make a new one, well, the roof of the portico or the space located before the rotunda of the pantheon was bronze and they say that this bronze was melted down to make the famous baldachin above the altar of St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican. A series of connections that made me want to create this project.
In the design, the yoke represents the dome of the Pantheon. I have divided it into two textures to represent the use of the metal in the two works through its history: in the pantheon of Agrippa and the baldachin of St. Peter’s, and the body with the striped texture is for the lines that you can see on the outside of the dome and its lateral facade. The color of the sweater is bronze for the metal extracted from it, and the name of “Vati” for the current home of that material.

• Construction: The sweater is knitted top-down with a provisional cast-on that is picked up again later, first working a few short rows and finishing with ribbing and a tubular bind-off. The yoke is formed with a series of decorative increases before separating for the sleeves. The body and sleeves worked in the round finish the work easily and comfortably by playing with the fabric using knits and purls.
