Veesik
Now an individual pattern!
Veesik is also published in Mary Jane Mucklestone’s book Fair Isle Weekend. The ebook is available in 2 versions: in English and in Finnish.
Veesik (Shetland dialect for an old folksong) is a V neck vest. The body is worked entirely in the round to the shoulders, using steeks for the armholes and front neck. The armhole edging and neckband are worked in the round by picking up stitches and working 1 x 1 rib. For the sample, subtle colors of sandy beaches, pale blue skies and wispy clouds were chosen. The simple color changes lend an enchanting effect.
