Veil of Leithen
This pattern is one of a collection of patterns being released in anticipation of Unwind Brighton 2014. Over in the Unwind Brighton group we are hosting a KAL that will include all of the patterns. There will be a category for each pattern, and prizes of course! You don’t have to be attending to join the fun!
Not so long ago, I made the long, long journey to a far-away land. On that journey I took a single skein of a beautiful Uncommon Thread. A light and lovely lace grew and grew until I had a shawl just so. In a fit of
romantic inspiration, I named it for the local football team at my destination. Veil of Leithen is an open-work shawl designed to use a single, precious skein of fingering-weight yarn. Both written and charted instructions are provided. The main pattern repeat is quite easily memorized, with just a little concentration required for the final lace border. Special thanks to my gorgeous model: Kettle Yarn Co!
