Vela Shawl
The Vela shawl is a fun piece, with it’s geometric design, and easy to wear shape. This pattern is a relaxing knit, with a stitch repeat that you will quickly memorise. Do you have two skeins, in contrasting colours, patiently waiting in your stash that need to become something you’ll find yourself reaching for time and time again? The Vela shawl could be the answer!
The side to side construction of this pattern means that this shawls size is fully (and easily) customisable according to your needs and/or your yarn amounts.
This pattern comes with both written instructions AND charts
Vela is a constellation, in the southern sky, that I can see where I live. It is Latin for the sails of a ship, and this was the inspiration for this piece.
