A lovely shawl to cast on~

The Velia shawl is colorful and very cozy when knitted in the yarns I used for mine. It is knitted from the top down with plenty of color and texture changes, which adds to the charm of it for sure. From garter stitches to a staggered rib pattern and an easy going eyelet design, the knitting is easy and just flows.

The pattern is fully written.
The measurements for the unblocked shawl are 68” in overall length and 18“ in middle height.

Yarn
C1- Yarnology in a blend of cotton, bamboo, rayon, acrylic and blends of them is created per order in 7 color, texture and weight changes. 238 yards/50 grams a skein.
C2- Soft skein in an acrylic and elastan yarn, 350 yards/50 grams in a sport weight.
Knit kits are available at Yarnz2go and they come with a special Yarnology skein, a Soft skein and printed pattern.

Notions needed
US size 8 (5 mm) circular needle 36” (91 cm) in length.
Tapestry needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge
14 sts and 26 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch.

Techniques applied
Knitting, purling, increasing, changing colors, binding off, weaving in ends. Blocking is optional. The sample shown was not blocked.
