These mitts are lacy, quick, and perfect for gifting. Knitted up in two colors (you will use approximately 110 yards of the main color and 30 yards of the contrasting color), they have a somewhat botanical feel with decreased “petals” on the bottom edging and picots on the top. The mitts also feature a lacy panel on the front, and a decorative thumb gusset.

This is a great beginning lace project. The lace is worked on every other row, and there are stitch markers placed to easily identify where the pattern repeats.

While the instructions are for one size, the sizing can be customized. You can modify the gauge to make them wider or slimmer and add or subtract repeats to make the mitts longer or shorter. This will, of course, modify the look of the end result.

Please be careful to check your gauge!
