Velociraptor
The “swift seizer” dinosaur, the Velociraptor was about the size of a turkey; quite a bit smaller than their Hollywood representatives might have you believe (the “raptors” seen in films were based on the larger Deinonychus dinosaurs). Velociraptors lived during the latter part of the Cretaceous period and bore many similarities to modern day birds in that they had wishbones, were covered in feathers, tended to nests, and had front arms structured in a similar manner to bird wings.
