Have you ever tried using the velvet yarn before? Here is an easy and small project to get you started. This pattern is a one row repeat. To get the design for our pattern we use the back loop of our stitch. Our velvet scarf features the half double crochet stitch, it’s a tighter stitch than a double crochet stitch. The scarf is worked flat, back and forth in lengthwise rows. The yarn we use is the Yarn Bee Velvety Smooth yarn – 100% polyester – 5 bulky. The color we use is Teal Green. We need 3 skeins to complete our scarf. The approximate finished measurement of our scarf is 8” wide and 63” long. The scarf comes in only one size but feel free to adjust it to fit your needs. Give it a try and see how soft and fuzzy yours comes out.
