Velvet Treasures Bag
Tour the Velvet Treasures Bag
Knit and Crochet used.
We start with a firm single crochet circle base. Move into knit rib stitch for bottom and sides of the bag. Rib stitch gives the Velvet fabric yarn a nice stretch like texture with a very slight give. The top section we decrease simply by switching to smaller needles and changing to a smooth regular knit stitch. We close the bag with a cinch top using an cord. The i-cord holes are simple yarn overs. In order to give the Velvet Treasures Bag a fun ruffle effect at top we increase with 3 knit stitches in a single make one stitch. Finish off with a smooth and flat cast off with a tiny stretch. This can be made in many sizes and lengths! Just adjust your stitches as needed.
