This lovely large shawl has been designed for successful shawl completion.

I hear frequently from knitters that they would knit a shawl, but that it is going to take too long, or they are just overwhelmed by the amount of charts and directions. So even the beginning knitter can accomplish and complete her first shawl.

I have designed this shawl to be given out in tiny “bites” so that as you knit along with the weekly “clues” you will feel successful in the completion of each week’s instruction.

Some of the techniques used in this shawl are: different decreases for shaping of patterns, a knit on lace edging, basic bottom up triangle shawl construction.

Each Sunday starting in June and continuing over 8 weeks you will be sent a small section of the shawl to work on. As you complete each instruction, you will see your shawl grow and at the end of the 8 weeks will have successfully completed a shawl. Each week has been designed so that working on your shawl will not consume all of you available knitting time.

This is a large shawl that can be worn in many ways.

I have worked with YarnZone.com to create hand dyed skeins of yarn that are 1 of a kind colorways that have been dyed in batches of 3 skeins. Gold Star is a wool yarn that has flecks of gold lurex to as just a touch of sparkle to your lovely shawl.
