Veneto
I have always loved the beautiful and elaborately elegant Venetian masks. Using them as inspiration for my Venetian collection, I designed my Veneto cowl with slipped stitches to recreate the colorful swirls of a Venetian mask.
The pattern includes instructions for both a long tailed cast on and a tubular cast on/bind off, as well as both charted and written directions for the main section of the cowl.
Yarn: Shown in Wool Ease (80% Acrylic, 20% Wool): 1.5 skeins of Cranberry, .75 of White Multi for a 50 inch/127 cm cowl.
Yardage Estimates: 29 inch cowl uses 110- 150 yd of Main Color, 70- 100 of Contrast Color. 50 inch cowl uses 200-250 yd of Main Color and 150-200 yd of Contrast color.
Notions: Stitch markers, cable needle (optional), waste yarn (tubular version only), 2 sets of circulars in a smaller size (tubular version only), yarn needle.
