VENEZIA SLIPPERS
Light and airy summer slippers

An open fan pattern creates these beautiful arches.
Reminding me of Venice, with its romantic arched bridges, connecting one side of a channel to the other.

Stitch diagrams for all sizes.

• As I always do with all my cotton slippers, Cord-Soles are joined for street wear. More outsole and insole-info below.

MATERIALS:

YARN
Light/3/DK/8 Ply/Wpi: 11.
Cotton, or any yarn suitable for the project.

My yarn: MAFIL, Cablè 3 (Italian brand), crochet thread size 3, 100 % mercerized cotton, wpi: 21.
Worked with double yarn (two strands).
Recommended.
A must for slippers with outsoles for street wear, as you achieve a stiff and sturdy fabric.
Ball: 50 g (1.8 oz), 140 m (152 yd).

Any brand for crochet thread size 3 will do fine.
E.g: Aunt Lydia’s (Coats) and Petra (DMC).
Available in US at Joann, Knitting Warehouse, Red Heart, Michael’s.

• If you cannot find crochet thread # 3, look for fingering
cotton, 135-140 meter on 50 g/1.8 oz.

HOOK:
EU 3,5 mm US (E/4).

SIZES:
Small = US 2 - 5 / EU 34-37
Medium = US 6 - 8 / EU 38-40
Large = 9-11 / EU 41-43
