Experienced Lace Skills -

  • Increases and Decreases occur on both RS and WS (no resting purl row)

  • Unusual stitch executions, mirrored twists and twisted dec’s = both left and right twisted stitches. (a standard ktbl twists left - twist direction identified by forward leg).

  • Unusual construction/shaping (worked bottom up with motif/ increases)

Yes. Work is fiddly at first but if you’ve done things like working the WS of ssk (s, s, p2tog tbl) it’s pretty straight forward. And once you get a few reps in, transitions and spacings are very intuitive.

Pointy needles recommended.

For Maximum Dimensional Effect

Use tightly plied, springy, round yarn.
Small sts / firm fabric.
Snug down decreases.
