A very basic pattern to create a meshy, openwork piece. Written for shawl or scarf but can be adapted to almost any kind of garment that relies on the square or rectangle shape.

Any yarn, any gauge, any needle, any size. This is explained in the pattern. It is not strictly “reversible” in that there is a visible wrong side, but to a non-knitter (i.e., if it’s knit as a gift) this will probably not be evident.
