Veras Shawl
This has been test knitted.
This is a top down triangle shawl. Lots of texture! This uses M1 increases, slipped stitch rib, seed stitch, and some bobbles. Ending with a chevron lace border. This is sure to keep you from boredom!
This pattern is good for advanced beginners, yet enough to keep experienced knitters entertained. I have included links to video tutorials that will help you along the way. I have included a running stitch count format, so you always know how many stitches you should have on your needles!
This design is dedicated to my grandmother, Vera. She taught me how to knit and crochet at the age of 8. I remember, as a child I would sit and watch her knit, I was absolutely stunned by what she could do with sticks and yarn. She loved to make things for her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed bobbles or the popcorn stitch, she made afghans for each of her grandchildren using a pattern with bobbles in it. I fondly remember an afghan that she made using the chevron stitch, she had it until she passed away. I wanted to include these elements in this one design, made especially in honor of her. I hope that you enjoy this textured fun knit!
