Verbena is a very aromatic plant with tiny flowers and very common in Portuguese gardens. It makes the most flavorful tea perfect for sharing in this late summer or early autumn sunsets. Verbena also means night gathering, or small night party, here in Portugal. And I find this to be the prefect garment to wear over your summer clothes and keep on dancing trough the night. Verbena a light weight cardigan, knitted with an organic cotton + wool blend, my favorite combo to keep you warm and comfortable in this mid-season weather.
It is knitted seamlessly from the top down, with raglan shaping and a cables and lace panel in the back. In the armhole, sleeve stitches will be put on hold while you continue to work the rest of the body of the cardigan. Once the body has been completed you will pick up your sleeves stitches and knit your sleeves down towards the elbow. The neckband and button bands are knitted over picked-up stitches along the edges of the cardigan.

Verbena é uma planta muito aromática, cheia de flores pequeninas e muito comum nos nossos jardins. Faz uma chá super aromático, perfeito para partilhar ao pôr-do-sol, nestes últimos dias de verão e primeiros dias de outono. Mas Verbena também significa uma pequena festa noturna e este é o casaco perfeito para vestires sobre as tuas roupas e verão e continuares a dançar! Este é um casaco leve tricotado numa mistura de lã + algodão, ambos orgânicos, a minha combinação preferida para meia-estação.
É tricotado de cima para baixo, sem costuras, com aumentos em raglan e um painel de torcidos e rendados nas coostas. Na cava, as malhas das mangas são deixadas em espera enquanto tricota o corpo do casaco. No final, retoma as malhas das mangas e tricota até á altura dos cotovelos. A gola e as barras de botões são tricotadas no final sobre malhas levantadas ao longo das ourelas.
