I designed the pattern of this hat inspired by the Vercors massif. For that reason there are visible letters “V” in the pattern. The cable and twisted stitches represents down-hill ski resorts.

This hat is knitted in a round. The pattern is designed to fit a medium size 56 cm (22 inch) circumference.

Pattern contains both written and charted instructions.

Yarn Requirements:
130 m – 160 m (142 - 175 yards) of Fingering / 4 ply yarn. I used 0.8 skein of DROPS Delight.

Needles:
2 – 3.25 mm (US size 0 - 3) 40 cm (16”) circular knitting needles and 4 DPN for top of hat.

Gauge:
24 stitches x 32 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4” x 4”)

Additional Materials:
Tapestry needle to weave in ends
Cable needle (optional)

Finished Size:
56 cm (22 inches) circumference x 20 cm (8 inches) long
