The design features a motif of repeating deep dark lace and texture evergreens , and is punctuated by three subtle eyelet flowers in a clearing in the center of the woods, ahem, shawl.
At each end a pop of contrasting color and tassels bring to mind a woven tapestry like the pattern’s namesake.

The shawl is knitted sideways, beginning in the middle, and knitted out towards the tasseled edges. As you work the edges are framed in the i-cord edge method leaving very little finishing work.

Needles:
US 6/4 mm needles straight or circular needles
