CONSTRUCTION NOTES
This pattern has been tech edited and test knit (as all my patterns are) and is worked in 2 Japanese stitch pattern repeats of 19 and 28 stitches for a total of a 47-stitch repeat for 43 rounds. Because the two stitch patterns are worked over a varying number of rounds, I note in the pattern at which point to start the rounds over, should you desire a higher cowl.

A bobble stitch pattern forms the top and bottom borders. A different bobble stitch is used in the main body; both are made with the aid of a crochet hook. Basic crochet skills are necessary, chain, yo, pull yarn through loop, etc.

CHART NOTES
I could not find the symbols for the Japanese stitches to incorporate into the Stitchmastery program that I use to create charts, so I had to be creative using similar stitches that might be performed differently than you may be familiar with. With that in mind, please be sure to read the written description of each stitch symbol to be sure you will make the stitch intended.
