Do you want to knit a children’s sweater or vest? With this pattern, both work. You have the choice between 3 sleeve variants: Short sleeves and long sleeves with/without pattern (see the drawing in the pictures). This sweater is knitted in one piece from top and seamless. With this step-by-step pattern, you can easily rework the sweater. Even ambitious beginners can knit the sweater.

The story behind the design:
“La lune” is the French name for the moon. My daughter and now also my son are very interested in the moon. When my daughter was 2 years old, she wanted to go to the moon. To do this, she wanted to get a ladder. The colorful pattern of the sweater is supposed to represent these ladders.

✨The choice of size should be based on the final dimensions of the chest circumference. The age label is just there to give a reference. I recommend for children 3-4 inch (7.5- 10 cm) ease. Children don’t like too tight clothes..
For example: if your child’s chest measures 22.2“ and you like 3 inch ease, pick the
3/4 years size.

What material you need
◾ DK(8ply) weight yarn or any other yarn that gives gauge for example: DROPS Lima
◾ Circular needle and double pointed needles 3.0 (U.S. 3) and 3.5 mm (U.S. 4) or any size required to obtain the stockinette stitch gauge
◾ Other: 9 markers, 2 stitch holders or scrap yarn

Gauge:
22.5 sts x 32 rows = 10cm/ 4 inches in stockinette stitch after blocking on
larger needles

Möchtest du einen Kinderpullover oder Pullunder stricken? Mit dieser Anleitung funktioniert beides. Du hast die Wahl zwischen 3 Ärmelvarianten: Kurze Ärmel und lange Ärmel mit/ohne Muster (siehe dazu die Zeichnung bei den Bildern). Dieser Pullover wird in einem Stück von oben und ohne Naht gestrickt. Mit dieser Schritt für Schritt - Anleitung kannst du den Pullover einfach nacharbeiten. Den Pullover können sogar ambitionierte Anfänger stricken.

Die Geschichte hinter dem Design:
“La lune” ist die französische Bezeichnung für den Mond. Meine Tochter und mittlerweile auch mein Sohn interessieren sich sehr für den Mond. Als meine Tochter 2 Jahre alt war, wollte sie auf den Mond gehen. Dazu wollte sie eine Leiter holen. Das bunte Muster des Pullovers soll diese Leitern darstellen.

Die Wahl der Größe sollte sich an den Endmaßen des Brustumfangs orientieren. Die Altersangabe ist nur da um besser vergleichen zu können. Ich empfehle bei Kindern 7,5- 10 cm Mehrweite. Kinder mögen nicht zu enge Kleidung.
Zum Beispiel: Der Brustumfang des Kindes beträgt 57 cm und man möchte, dass das Shirt eine Mehrweite von 7,5 cm hat. Dann ist die Größe 3-4 Jahre mit 64 cm im Brustumfang die richtige Wahl.

Was Du für Material brauchst

• Garnstärke 3: mittel/ light (DK 8ply) z.B. : DROPS Lima
• Rundstricknadeln und Nadelspiel der Stärke 3 und 3,5 mm oder jede andere Nadelstärke, welche die Maschenprobe ergibt
• Anderes: 9 Maschenmarkierer, 2 Maschenhalter oder Garnreste

Maschenprobe:
22,5 M x 32 Runden = 10cm in glatt rechts mit Nadelstärke 3,5 mm
(unbedingt nach dem Waschen & Trocknen messen)
