This hat is worked in the round from the bottom up.
It can be worn with the brim folded to make a fitted beanie, or with the brim down for a more slouchy look. It is reversible and looks great on both sides.
And you can had a pompom, or not !
Finished measurements (It is very stretchy)
Size 1: for a head about 19.5” / 50 cm in circumference - Circumference (unstretched): 18.5” / 47 cm
Size 2: for a head about 21.5” / 55 cm in circumference - Circumference (unstretched): 20” / 51 cm
Size 3: for a head about 23.5” / 60 cm in circumference - Circumference (unstretched): 21.5” / 55 cm
DK yarn (100g for approx 180 m or 200 yards):
size 1 = 75g (135 m - 145 yards)
size 2 = 100 g (180 m - 200 yards)
size 3 = 120 g (220 m - 240 yards)
without pompom (15 to 20g more for pompom)
US #6 / 4mm 16” circular needle and DPNs
(or size to meet gauge)
Gauge: 22 sts = 4” / 10 cm in Garter rib stitch
